University of Nottingham - Malaysia Campus

Oh yeah , i'll be studying there after high school and college . ( That's just a few years , LOL , mind you )
Anyway , I'll be studying Modern Language and Cultures !!! :D
I know it'll be interesting and fun ^.^
After reading the university handbook , I got to know that students who will be studying this course will have to choose a core language . ( French , Spanish , Mandarin , Japanese , Korean )
After thinking about it , I think I'll choose to study French , which is what they called , Language of Love lol.
Beside core language , students will study about communication , in different aspects .
Lastly , students will have to choose between Movie & TV Programmes OR English Literature .
For sure , I'll choose English Literture , which I think it'll turn out to be very hard to study !
There're also a wide range of jobs associated with this course , so no worries :D

Tasting red wine...

You know, I'm a girl who love to try 'a little bit of everthing' . But , of course , I have enough sense not to try illegal stuff LOL. Anyway, I tried wine yesterday , during dinner time . Grandpa took out a new bottle of red wine from Australia and I got a chance to take a sip XD
It wasn't really what I have expected . I expected all wine to be sweet and full of the taste of grapevine . But this wasn't the case . It was so sour that I had to close my eyes to shallow it .
Anyway , it was such a great experience !!! :D

Step by Wicked Step by Anne Fine

Step by Wicked Step by Anne Fine is our class literature book in the year 2011 .
This book is all about broken homes . Yup , you heard it right . Stepparents . Stepsisters. Stepbrothers .
During the second English class , my teacher announced that she thought the book is boring .
I was shocked . I have never heard a teacher says a book is boring to the students in my life.
But I managed to read and stick to the story until the very end , how is it boring then ?
I'll tell you what makes the book boring for most people.
Firstly , its setting . Not really interesting to the readers.
Secondly , the storyline . It's all the same . Five characters telling stories about their broken homes.
Other than that , the book is cool .
Awesome descriptions by the author . Perfect sentences and usage of words . Unique style of writng .

I like the book . It's simple and nice . It has stories in a story and that's what make it awesome . I simply love English literature .
My favourite character would be Ralph . The guy who has three stepmothers lol. His story was so complicated and funny ! Love it lol. It doesn't bring any sadness at all .
All the other characters are great too .

Tips in Writing

To all my fellow budding authors out there, let me share with you some awesome tips :

1. Write what you know . That should always be our motto . Face it, you can't really write about adulthood when you're still a teenager .
2. Connect to your characters . This will help you to create complex and unique characters like real people . You should relate your characters to people you know.
3. Know your readers . Whether your book is targeted to little children or adults .
4. Decide your story's settings. If you're writing about olden days' society, you have to make sure everything fits .
e.g. The language that your characters use .
       The clothing.
         The lifestyle .
5. Don't let people tell you what to do with your story , unless you agree with the other people's ideas . It's your story. Not theirs. You're the author .
6. Keep yourself inspire . Do whatever that inspire you so that you can keep moving forward. Don't ever set a deadline unless it's compulmory . If there's a deadline , begin early so that you have enough time to write.
7. Read books from your favourite authors . You can learn a lot and then adopt your own personal writing style .
