POTTERMORE-- I'M IN !
To all the Harry Potter fans out there, I'm sure that you guys know about this website which is created by J.K Rowling, called Pottermore. I have no doubt that you guys , like me, are trying your very best to enter the website early, to be the lucky few to help J.K Rowling to shape the website before it's open to all in October. What we have to do is to find the answer to the question which is put up on the Pottermore website . The answer will then lead us to the Magical Quill and the registration begins ! Then, we'll have to verify our account and we're in !
Well, guess what ? I tried 3 times and I'm in !!!!!!! YUP !!! You heard that right !!!
Here's my fair share of ''hardship'' for trying to register early...
DAY 1 : 31 July 2011
I waited and waited and I didn't see the Day 1 question on the website , so I couldn't possibly know the answer and I missed out the first chance to register .
DAY 2 : 1 August 2011
Originally, I didn't expect to see a question on the website but I visited the website all the same. AND , the question is right in front of me !!! In the screen !!! The question was: In which chapter does Professor McGonagall cancel the Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff ? Mutiply the answer with 42. I didn't know the answer exactly but I remember the storyline and I know it's somewhere between the middle and end of the story. I guessed 14 and mutiply with 42 and got the anwer : 588.
I put 588 at the end of the URL ; http://quill.pottermore.com/ and a Warner Bros website opened up. There was a slideshow of pictures at the side and I strolled it down and saw a picture of Magical Quill !!! ( I actually tried the URL for 3 times before I got the idea of strolling down the pictures slideshow lol )
Anyway, I clicked on the sentence : Start your magical journey here , below the Magical Quill and the registration process popped up !!! I put in my personal information and they asked me to check my inbox to verify my account through a link in my email.
I waited and waited and the email didn't come . I went back to the Pottermore website and to my disappointment, it said : DAY 2 REGISTRATION IS CLOSED .
-sigh-
I thought I will have to register again ....but no...
DAY 4 : 3 August 2011
I signed in my email and saw a Pottermore email . I clicked on it and there's the link ! At the bottom of my email, it said : Verify your account in 48 hours time....... And I thought to myself , yeah, it isn't late yet, it isn't over 48 hours. So, I tried my luck and clicked on the link. A sign-in page to Pottermore opened up and I put in my password. To my horror , it said the password I just typed in was incorrect !!! WHAT !!( I thought maybe I'll have to register again and get a new username and password) Due to too many times of incorrect sign-ins , I'll have to wait for an hour to log in again.....
An hour passed , I was ready to try again. Firstly, I typed in my username and then , what's that below it ? '' Forget your username?'' This sentence sprang an idea into my mind. I did forgot my password , did I not ?? And so, I click on the sentence : Forget your password? An email is then sent to me and I was asked to choose an new password , which I did. And then, the magical and memorable moment happened.....
CONGRATULATION !!!!

OMG !!!!!!!! I'M ONE OF THE LUCKY FEW TO GET IN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
POTTERMORE , HERE I COME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s : And now I know i'm 3rd time lucky in almost everything I do ...And it doesn't hurt to hold your hopes high and always be willing to try......
I got the official Welcome Email on 4/9 , and then I can 'officially' begin my adventures in Pottermore !!!
