CPE Examination 16 June 2011

I sat here, at Chicken Rice shop at KL Sentral, as I wrote this with mixed feelings. I mean, what do you expect, sitting for an exam from 9 am to 5pm, in a different environment and with a different group of people, you'll pretty much feel that way.

I'll not bored you by describing my journey there to Cambridge English For Life HQ in KL as it was a smooth sail (by bus and cab) and we (mum, sis and I ) reached there 2 hours earlier. At 8am, I sat in the Quarantine Room and waited for 4 other candidates who are much older and mature than me, if you must know. Note that I wasn't trying to be cocky or anything here. It isn't entirely a good thing when you're in my situation, particularly how difficult it is to have conversations with them. Anyway, moving on, when the other candidates arrived( one of the guys actually shook my hand, we smiled and talked to each other...Still feel surreal...), we went to the exam room and started our exam with Reading, Writing, Use of English and Listening( this wasn't too good) .

The candidates and I bonded well, surprisingly , in a short period of time, although we weren't going to see each other again . It was all as well because when it came to Speaking Test , well, I was doomed, let's put it this way. In my defence, I didn't get much chance to talk about things and I was definitely not familiar with the three-people speaking set . Putting that aside, I was rightly to be blamed for the lousy quality of the result.

No matter how I related it to you now, I wouldn't be able to do anything about this day (not that I wanna changed anything particularly) .I'm just pouring out my feelings now and all in all, it can be counted as a bittersweet and once-in-a-lifetime experience.
